Thank you, Derek! I love how you list the pros AND cons. As a writer, I definitely found myself thinking, "what about my flow?" And you addressed that. And, I can really see how working this in-as relevant-to my workday would help. I also loved your bit about our phones and putting it face down! A couple months ago I disconnected my Apple Watch from my iPhone (so get WAY less notifications) and feel so much freer! Blessings!

Great advice! I use timers in a slightly different way. But they are for sure my jam and make me WAY more productive. :)

I'm a productivity enthusiast and a stickler for productivity as I run three different companies : Pomodoro works great for me as I use the calendar blocking method. Thanks for sharing.

Let's stay connected Derek! Sharing one of my shorts on the same topic: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/jncGoCUehUQ?feature=share

I think worse than the phone on notifications is the smart watch — getting your wrist tapped at every notification is annoying, distracting and diminishing in importance.

I’ve disabled all notifications on my watch, except the phone, sms, alarm and stand up reminders :)
